Raymond Sims Ltd makes the Evolution range of racing boat, which combines the stiffness and speed required to win at the top level, with the durability that will keep it racing many years down the line. 
 

Three years of R&D working in partnership with some of the top composite designers in the world – experts in the field of F1 and aerospace composites – have transformed the race proven Sims shape single into a stunning new boat!

The new technology of epoxy resin infusion using a specifically designed carbon fibre fabric has resulted in an increased boat speed of almost three seconds over 2k against the previous Evolution using the same mould and materials.

The race proven Fisa shape combined with this exciting new technology is way ahead of the game and truly a design of the future!

• The ridge decks, found on all our boats, are designed to increase longitudinal stiffness and facilitate water dispersion.

• The infused monocoque cockpit improves the integrity of the complete boat.

• The wing rigger is fitted as a standard on all Evolution-i single sculls providing a comfortable and spacious seating position.  Options of full carbon or aluminium aerofoil are available.

• The vacuum formed carbon footstretcher is bolted through the side of the boat under the rigger mount.  This increases stiffness by tying together the two sides of the cockpit.

• The seat top is full carbon and uses our adjustable height bearer system and stainless steel bearings.  Coupled with the anodised slide track, it ensures a smooth glide.

• The Evolution-i is fitted with an NK Speedcoach loom and waterbottle holder as standard
